About The Position

Develop advanced systems designs within the mechanical engineering discipline. Prepare project deliverables per the client’s intent and scope of work. Provide input and create plans to complete design tasks within the project timeline and budget. Review project deliverables before submitting for review. Identify and report potential roadblocks and complete priorities that may inhibit the ability to maintain the project scope, schedule, and budget. Analyze and interpret technical engineering documents, specifications, technical procedures, and government regulations. Support design of domestic water distribution systems, sanitary and vent systems, and storm water systems. Review sizing and selection of plumbing equipment. Review and edit design drawings using knowledge of nomenclature, design techniques, materials, details, system components, construction techniques, related engineering systems, and building codes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and 6 years of post-bachelor’s, progressive related work experience; OR a Master's degree or foreign equivalent in Mechanical Engineering, or a related field, and 3 years of related work experience.
  • 3 years of experience with REVIT BIM modeling software.
  • 3 years of experience designing domestic water distribution systems.
  • 3 years of experience designing sanitary and vent systems.
  • 3 years of experience designing storm water systems.
  • 3 years of experience sizing and selecting plumbing equipment.
