This position acts as a key interface between production, assembly, and quality in the areas of both alternative powertrains as well as conventional propulsion technologies (HV Battery, E-Axle, Engines, etc.) that are co-developed and/or produced in Redford. The role involves leading the development and integration of powertrain components and systems for high-voltage (HV) batteries and combustion engines, including designing HV battery systems and components with a focus on handling and packaging of high-voltage elements. The engineer will perform noise and vibration (NVH) analysis, collaborate with global and cross-functional teams, and design components with lifecycle, serviceability, and maintenance in mind. This role also drives continuous improvements, manages relationships with internal and external partners, documents technical requirements, and serves as the Detroit representative for ICM Process Management and Engineering Deviation Approvals for HV Battery-related change requests. Additionally, the position supports customer order coding resolution, assists in CAD data translations, and acts as the engineering documentation contact for Detroit regarding certification, homologation, and safety-critical parts.
