This position acts as a key interface between production, assembly, and quality in the areas of both alternative powertrains as well as conventional propulsion technologies (HV Battery, E-Axle, Engines, etc.) that are co-developed and/or produced in Redford. The role involves leading the development and integration of powertrain components and systems, designing HV battery systems and components, performing NVH analysis, and collaborating with global and cross-functional teams. The engineer will focus on lifecycle, serviceability, and maintenance considerations, drive continuous improvements, manage relationships with internal and external partners, and document technical requirements. Specific duties include serving as the Detroit representative for ICM Process Management, fulfilling Engineering Deviation Approval assignments, supporting customer order coding resolution, and acting as the engineering documentation contact for certification, homologation, and safety-critical parts.
