About The Position

The Mechanical Process Engineer will analyze production processes to identify and eliminate waste, reduce cycle times, and improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE). This role provides hands-on technical support to production and maintenance teams to resolve daily production issues and implement robust corrective actions. The position involves a blend of time spent in the office and on the production floor. Responsibilities include developing manufacturing routings, standard operating procedures (SOPs), and work instructions for new and existing products, analyzing production data and preparing reports on process performance metrics, serving as the primary technical lead for the installation and startup of new equipment, and leading productivity improvement projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies. Familiarity with the production floor, processes, and new equipment installation is expected.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Industrial or other related Engineering or Engineering Technology field required.
  • 2+ years of experience working in a manufacturing or industrial process environment required.
  • Ability to prioritize and execute multiple tasks/projects in a demanding environment.
  • Demonstrated judgment in selecting methods and techniques for obtaining solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience in analytical and data-driven process improvement, troubleshooting, and applying engineering principles on the plant floor.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, statistical analytical software (Minitab), and AutoCAD.
  • Experience managing mid-size capital projects from design through execution.
