About The Position

The Mechanical Services Planner is responsible for mechanical inspection reporting to customers, managing materials for all work, and scheduling outsourced repairs. The position reports to the Mechanical/Quality Services Manager and is based in Griffin, Georgia, USA.

Requirements

• Five to eight years of experience in a manufacturing environment; paper-industry experience is preferred.
• English language skills.
• Proven supervisory and leadership abilities.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience using SAP MD04 and MD4C for material planning, inventory analysis, and supply/demand monitoring.
• Knowledge of procurement principles, purchasing processes, and vendor management practices.
• Proficiency in Excel.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with mechanical and machine repairs is desired.
• Proficiency in Solidworks for creating detailed drawings is a plus.
• Experience in the paper industry is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and order parts and supplies for individual jobs as needed.
• Maintain and order inventory for stock items in the mechanical shop.
• Work with the Quality Manager to ensure inspection reports are complete and accurate.
• Quote jobs for customers and sales engineers.
• Provide updates and reports to the Mechanical/Quality Manager regarding problems and issues.
• Complete outgoing reports for plain/press rolls and suction rolls.
• Perform other duties and projects as assigned by management.
