The Mechanical Planner I is responsible for defining activities, budgets, and schedule logic in accordance with established EVMS guidelines. This role involves establishing sequencing, usage phase, and build location for Mechanical components based on facility capacity and build strategy. Mechanical components include piping systems (fabrication, installation, testing, instrumentation) and machinery systems (milling, machining, lathe work, equipment installation, engine/shaft line installation and alignment). The position also involves collecting and implementing lessons learned, incorporating internal changes into work packages, reviewing drawings for producibility, assisting with subcontractor scope transfers, and answering production questions. Building work packages includes establishing task steps and budgets, electronically assigning material, assembling drawings, sending documents for issue, and populating the planning database with work scope items and attributes.
