About The Position

Merrick & Company is seeking a Mechanical Piping Designer with zero (0) to four (4) years of experience at our Greenwood Village, CO office. The role involves generating drawings for 3D equipment modeling and piping systems, developing detailed isometric drawings from the 3D model, and creating equipment location drawings and piping and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs). The designer will utilize AutoCAD/Plant3D to create engineering drawings and generate process, mechanical, and piping deliverables, as well as E&IC (Electrical & Instrumentation Control) deliverables, taking direction from all these disciplines. Working within a multi-disciplinary team, the designer will be responsible for generating designs that meet exacting technical standards. Some travel to client project sites to support drawing as-built and design efforts is expected.

Requirements

Zero (0) to Four (4) years of experience
Proficiency using Autocad/Plant 3D
Knowledge or experience in the use of national standards including ASME B31
Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship
Must have a valid driver's license, a good driving record, and be insurable under Merrick’s insurance carrier

Nice To Haves

Background in the development of piping systems
Experience in industrial piping design
