Miller Industries is seeking a skilled Mechanical Maintenance Technician for our 3rd Shift operations in Fenton, Michigan. This role is crucial for maintaining the operational efficiency of our manufacturing facility by performing and coordinating both preventative and reactive maintenance on building systems and production equipment. Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent.
Technical or Vocational school certification or equivalent training.
2+ years of related experience.
Ability to fault find on machines and facilities.
Experience with preventative maintenance programs.
Knowledge of industrial machine repair, industrial electrical, welding, and plumbing.
Ability to read and interpret instructions, operations manuals, and follow step-by-step instructions.
Skilled in the use of hand and power tools.
Essential mechanical and electrical aptitudes and abilities.
Ability to frequently walk, stand for extended periods of time, balance, stoop, crouch, kneel, push, pull, twist, turn, and lift.
Ability to reach overhead and climb ladders as needed.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Understanding of hydraulic and pneumatic print reading.

Responsibilities

Install, adjust, and repair production equipment such as leads, grinders, and welding machines.
Lubricate and clean parts and equipment to ensure proper operation.
Schedule and complete preventative maintenance checks.
Read and comprehend maintenance manuals, service bulletins, and other specifications to determine repair or replacement methods.
Complete all assigned maintenance service requests.
Assist in monitoring work performed by outside contractors.
Complete quarterly machine inspections and maintain a schedule for each piece of equipment.
Utilize power lockout procedures as specified.
Ensure compliance with all Company safety guidelines.
Maintain a professional and courteous manner with vendors, contractors, and employees.
Ensure all work-related activities are conducted in a fair, ethical, and consistent manner.
Perform other duties and tasks as assigned.
