2nd Shift Mechanical Maintenance Specialist
About The Position
Maintaining the buildings so they function in a quality manner. Completing all work in a timely manner according to the clients’ requirements and making necessary repairs on buildings and equipment. This role involves diagnosing problems, suggesting solutions, and installing new equipment while also repairing minor to critical campus equipment. The specialist will also service the Automated Storage Retrieval System (ASRS), administer preventative maintenance, and provide general assistance to their supervisor. Effective communication with clients, staff, external vendors, and contractors is essential, as is conducting all activities in a safe and efficient manner. The position requires learning and performing routine and non-routine duties independently, keeping abreast of current developments and trends in the professional area, and understanding technical knowledge or skills not easily or quickly learned on the job. The role also includes trash handling and performing other duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum one year of Mechanical experience in one of the mentioned fields: Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, HVAC or a closely related experience.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
Responsibilities
- Maintain buildings to function in a quality manner.

- Effectively communicate with external vendors and contractors to request quotes and/or complete projects.

- Demonstrate and maintain awareness of innovations and progress in respective field(s).
- Assist with projects in a timely manner.
- Install new equipment and repair minor to critical campus equipment.
- Assist with projects and respond to emergent repairs.
- Service Automated Storage Retrieval System (ASRS).
