About The Position
Carter Caves State Resort Park is seeking a skilled and dependable individual to join our maintenance team as a full-time Mechanical Maintenance & Operations Technician I. This position performs essential work involving the installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of heating and air-conditioning systems, refrigeration and ventilation equipment, electrical systems, plumbing and sewer systems, and other mechanical equipment throughout the park. Additional responsibilities include assisting contractors, monitoring equipment performance, completing repair and inspection records, responding to emergency maintenance needs, and performing other assigned duties.
Requirements
- Two years of experience in the maintenance or repair of HVAC, refrigeration, ventilation, or electrical systems
- Formal training in one of the above or related fields will substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis
- Must be 18 years of age

- Installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of heating and air-conditioning systems
- Installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of refrigeration and ventilation equipment
- Installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems
- Installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of plumbing and sewer systems
- Installation, inspection, testing, maintenance, and repair of other mechanical equipment throughout the park
- Assisting contractors
- Monitoring equipment performance
- Completing repair and inspection records
- Responding to emergency maintenance needs
- Performing other assigned duties
