About The Position

Mechanical Journeyman Job Overview We are seeking an experienced and dependable Mechanical Journeyman to support maintenance, repair, and installation of mechanical systems and equipment in a fast-paced industrial environment. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Requirements

Strong background in industrial maintenance or mechanical repair
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Experience with troubleshooting mechanical systems
Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
Ability to work independently and in a team environment
Reliable attendance and strong work ethic

Nice To Haves

Journeyman-level mechanical experience or certification (preferred)
Experience in manufacturing or industrial environments
Welding or fabrication experience (a plus)
Basic electrical or PLC troubleshooting knowledge
CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) experience

Responsibilities

Install, maintain, and repair mechanical systems and industrial equipment
Troubleshoot mechanical failures and perform root cause analysis
Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on machinery
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
Work with hydraulics, pneumatics, conveyors, and rotating equipment
Inspect equipment to ensure proper operation and safety compliance
Replace or repair defective components, including motors, pumps, bearings, and valves
Collaborate with maintenance and production teams to minimize downtime
Maintain accurate maintenance logs and documentation
Follow all safety policies and procedures
