About The Position

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Insulator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing insulation on various mechanical systems, including pipes, ductwork, and equipment, to regulate temperature and minimize energy loss. You will work with a range of insulation materials and interpret blueprints to ensure precise application. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently or as part of a team, and may involve working on commercial, industrial, or federal projects. Familiarity with design-build projects is a plus.

Requirements

Must have a Real ID.
Clean background or ability to obtain DBIDS access to work on military bases.
Must have a vehicle and Clean Driving Record.
Previous experience as a mechanical insulator or in a related construction trade preferred.
Ideally someone that has commercial, industrial, or federal project experience or is able to get on base.
Familiarity with design-build projects and construction processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

Install insulation on mechanical systems such as pipes, ductwork, and equipment to control temperature and prevent energy loss.
Work with various insulation materials like fiberglass, foam, and reflective barriers.
Read and interpret blueprints and specifications to determine insulation requirements.
Apply insulation to both hot and cold systems, including refrigeration and cold storage.
Ensure safety and compliance with building codes and industry standards.
Collaborate with contractors and other trades on construction or retrofit projects.
Attention to detail and precision in cutting and fitting insulation.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
