We are a leading engineering company looking for a professional to join our team as a Mechanical Installation Technician. In this position, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing the electrical and mechanical systems of the project, ensuring their safe and efficient operation.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in industrial mechanical installation, equipment assembly, or a related field.
  • Proven hands-on experience in the automotive manufacturing industry is required.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical installation, machinery assembly, alignment, troubleshooting, and maintenance.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings, equipment layouts, blueprints, and technical specifications.
  • Strong mechanical troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary installation team.
  • Must be willing and able to travel extensively to project sites throughout the United States and internationally, as required.
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Nice To Haves

  • Degree or technical education in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Industrial Technology, or a related field preferred
  • Experience working with automated production equipment, conveyors, fixtures, tooling, and industrial machinery is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the installation, assembly, maintenance, and repair of industrial mechanical systems, machinery, and equipment at project and customer sites.
  • Install and assemble automated production equipment, manufacturing machinery, conveyors, fixtures, tooling, and assembly-line components according to project specifications.
  • Diagnose mechanical issues, identify root causes, and implement appropriate corrective solutions.
  • Inspect, align, adjust, and test mechanical equipment to ensure proper installation and operation.
  • Read and interpret mechanical drawings, assembly drawings, blueprints, layouts, and technical specifications.
  • Perform mechanical assembly activities including equipment positioning, leveling, alignment, fastening, and component installation.
  • Support the installation, modification, and commissioning of automotive manufacturing and assembly-line equipment.
  • Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on machinery and mechanical equipment as required.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and records of installations, modifications, repairs, and completed work.
  • Coordinate with electrical technicians, automation teams, engineers, supervisors, and other project personnel to ensure installation activities are completed safely and according to schedule.
  • Follow all applicable site safety requirements, installation procedures, and company standards.
