About The Position
Dematic is seeking a talented Mechanical Installer to join a growing team. In this position, you will have the opportunity to work on different customer projects and locations. The employee may be based anywhere in the continental USA but must be willing to travel 100% to customer locations.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience.
- Possess a valid driver's license.
- Minimum 2-5 years’ experience and knowledge in installing and/or maintaining conveyor equipment.
- Experience in conveyor system layout, component pre-assembly, header steel installation, platform and structural steel erection, conveyor installation, guard rail, rack, air piping, detailing and run-in of installed equipment.
Nice To Haves
- Technical degree or specialized training preferred but not required.
Responsibilities
- Take personal responsibility for safety and the safety of others around.
- Complete assigned mechanical installation tasks within allotted time and with high quality as assigned by site supervision.
- Take direction from the site supervisor or foreman.
- Provide support to the site supervisor and foreman.
- Travel 100% to customer sites within the USA.
- Lift at least 50 lbs.
- Push, pull, squat, crawl and walk around large construction sites in various climates and environments.
