About The Position

We specialize in machining complex geometries and difficult-to-cut alloys; your expertise in mechanical dimensional inspection is vital to ensuring these intricate designs meet the uncompromising standards of flight safety.

Requirements

  • Proven track record of inspecting high-precision components with complex geometries (e.g., 5-axis milled parts).
  • Proficiency in manual dimensional inspection and the use of standard metrology equipment.
  • Must pass and maintain current eye examinations (Jaeger requirements) as required by NAS-410.
  • Minimum of 2–4 years of quality inspection experience in an aerospace manufacturing environment.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Model-Based Definition (MBD) and digital inspection techniques.
  • Familiarity with AS9100 quality management systems.
  • Knowledge of additional NDT methods (e.g., Magnetic Particle, Eddy Current, or Ultrasonic Testing).

Responsibilities

  • Utilize precision hand tools—including calipers, micrometers, height gauges, bore gauges, and indicators—Run CMM programs — to verify tight-tolerance features and internal diameters against engineering blueprints.
  • Read and interpret complex engineering drawings and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) standards for contoured structural components.
  • Record, organize, and report inspection results. Generate non-conformance reports (NCRs) and collaborate with engineering and manufacturing leads to resolve root causes of defects.
  • Set up, calibrate, and perform daily/weekly process control checks on NDT equipment and mechanical measuring tools.
  • Perform high-sensitivity Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT) on complex, multi-axis machined parts to detect discontinuities in aluminum, titanium, and advanced aerospace alloys.
