About The Position

This role involves performing visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies at various supplier facilities. Inspections will be conducted based on engineering drawings, customer purchase orders, industry standards, and Aerospace Standard for Quality Management Systems (AS9100). The inspector will be responsible for reporting inspection results directly to the customer via a web application.

Requirements

• Practical experience performing in-process and final inspections on complex machined parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies.
• Ability to perform inspections to engineering requirements specified per ANSI Y14.5 – Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) or equivalent standard.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and Purchase Orders (POs).
• Experience using various mechanical inspection tools, such as micrometers and calipers.
• Experience performing First Article Inspections (FAIs) in accordance with the Aerospace Standard (AS9102).
• Proficiency using Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Computer savvy.
• Must own a laptop for this assignment.

Nice To Haves

• Minimum of five years experience performing inspections in aerospace or military/defense manufacturing.

Responsibilities

• Travel to various supplier facilities to perform visual and dimensional inspections on manufactured parts, assemblies, and/or sub-assemblies.

• Report inspection accept/reject information directly to the customer via a web application.
