Mechanical Inspector - Swing or Day Shift available

Days: Mon-Fri 6:00am to 2:30pm; Swing: Mon-Fri 2:00pm to 10:30pm; Weekends: Fri-Sun 8am to 8pm SUMMARY OF POSITION: Responsible performing precision mechanical inspection of machined parts and incoming materials to verify compliance to specification.
Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience performing in-process and final inspection preferably in a machining, automotive or aerospace business
- Thorough knowledge of GD&T
- CMM operation required
- Ability to correctly use and interpret basic measuring tools including weight gauge, micrometer, caliper scale (linear), gauge blocks, thread gauges, and comparative standards
Responsibilities
- Basic blueprint reading & shop math (Trigonometry)
- Inspect first off parts from manufacturing work centers
- Collect measurement data for use in First Article Inspection (FAI) reports
- Collect and provide data required for critical part Final Inspection Reports (FIRs)
