About The Position

TRESU Americas, a subsidiary of TRESU Group, provides advanced products for the commercial printing industry, including chambered doctor blade systems, coating and ink pumps, hot air drying, chilling systems, printing plate cleaning equipment, and Flexo production presses. The Mechanical Field Service Engineer will offer onsite service and remote technical support across all TRESU product lines. This role involves significant travel throughout the Americas and internationally to install, retrofit, repair, and assess TRESU products. When not traveling, the engineer will provide remote customer support via phone and email.

  • Adaptable and travel-ready, comfortable responding to changing schedules, urgent service needs, and varied working environments
  • Collaborative team player who shares knowledge with colleagues and supports customers before, during, and after service visits
  • Skilled with hand tools and experienced with hands on repair and installation of components and assemblies
  • Competent with machine shop equipment for use in milling, drilling and part modification
  • Familiar with technical drawings and how to read them
  • Basic understanding of computer applications and hardware
  • Communication skills for conveying information accurately and clearly
  • Sense and understanding of business and sales
  • Excellent interpersonal and networking skills
  • Fluency in English

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent education/work experience
  • Knowledge of how to use and navigate 3D modeling software, preferably Solidworks
  • Flexible schedule for frequent travel (U.S. and International) and occasional afterhours support (required)

Responsibilities

  • Installing, troubleshooting, and servicing TRESU products
  • Assessing and addressing customer needs
  • Reading and communicating technical drawings
  • Documenting and reporting information to customers and colleagues
  • Recording, analyzing, and interpreting test data
  • Onsite work, requiring availability to travel the U.S. and International, at least 60%, mainly focused to USA, Canada and Latin American, but not limited to the Americas
  • Providing remote support as part of the global helpdesk, sometimes afterhours
