About The Position
Merrick & Company’s Nuclear Services & Technology team provides full service nuclear design solutions to the federal government (DOE, NNSA, and NIST), nuclear research, and nuclear medicine. Merrick is seeking a highly motivated, team oriented Mechanical Facilities Engineer to support our operations in our Aiken, SC office.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Mechanical Engineering from an A.B.E.T. accredited program.
- Zero (0) to four (4) years related experience.
- Experience with AutoCAD and/or Revit experience.
- Local candidates strongly preferred.
- Client projects for this position require U.S. Citizenship.
Responsibilities
- Design HVAC and Plumbing/Piping system for a variety of facility projects.
- Developing design calculations, process flow diagrams, sequences of operation, equipment selection and layout, ductwork and piping sizing and layout, support of project proposals, interdisciplinary coordination and participating of QA/QC process.
- Work in a design team environment and take design direction from senior-level engineers.
