About The Position

GE Vernova is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Technician to join their team. This role is responsible for measuring final shape criteria of stator bars, quality documentation, and tracking defect trends. The technician will also manage process documentation, handle indirect purchasing, lead quality projects, assist Quality Engineers with stator bar dispositioning, and provide feedback to operators on defects. Additionally, the role involves managing technical issues and maintenance for Autoclaves.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in a technical discipline from an accredited college or university (OR High School Diploma / GED plus a minimum of 5 years working in a manufacturing environment)
  • Minimum of 2 years of industry experience

Responsibilities

  • Measuring final shape criteria of stator bars
  • Quality documentation
  • Defect trends for COGEBI, Glass, and Strip & Reinsulate
  • Process documentation in K&L Bay
  • Indirect purchasing in K&L Bay
  • Lead and/or support quality projects in Bar Shop
  • Assist Quality Engineers in dispositioning stator bars
  • Provide feedback to operators on trending defects
  • Technical issues and maintenance of Autoclaves
