About The Position

Supports mechanical engineering builds, installations, measurements, and test plan execution.

Requirements

• Mechanical engineering builds, installations, measurements, and test plan execution.
• Disassembly and rebuilding of production and experimental engines and components.
• Measurement and recording of measurements.
• Configuration and operation of data acquisition systems.
• Analysis and review of data.
• Installation of engines and components in test cells or test rigs.
• Fabrication of piping, tubing, and brackets from prints and drawings.
• Diagnosis of engine and test cell problems.
• Configuration and operation of engines or rigs.
• Preventative maintenance on engines, test cells or test rigs.
• Execution of written work requests and reporting of results.
• Support for technicians and engineers.
• Understanding and application of Company and department rules and guidelines.
• Interfacing with customers, suppliers, engineers and other functions.
• Maintenance of quality procedures.
• Participation in improvement projects.
• Development and delivery of presentations to customers and suppliers.
• Maintenance of workplace cleanliness.
• Compliance with departmental safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstration of confidentiality.
• Participation in self- and team-audits and associated corrective action.

Responsibilities

• Disassembles and rebuilds production and experimental engines and components; measures and records measurements.
• Configures and operates data acquisition systems; analyzes and reviews data for appropriateness.
• Installs engines and components in test cells or test rigs.
• Fabricates necessary piping, tubing, and brackets from prints and drawings.
• Diagnoses engine and test cell problems.
• Configures and operates engines or rigs, measuring and recording data as requested, and performs preventative maintenance on engines, test cells or test rigs.
• Executes written work requests and reports on results in a specified format.
• Supports technicians and engineers as required.
• Understands and applies appropriate Company and department rules and guidelines to work.
• Interfaces with customers, suppliers, engineers and other functions.
• Participates in the maintenance of quality procedures.
• Participates in improvement projects.
• Develops and gives presentations to customers and suppliers.
• Maintains cleanliness within the workplace.
• Knows and complies with departmental safety policies and procedures.
• Demonstrates confidentiality as required.
