About The Position

Indiana Tech is seeking a full-time faculty member for its Talwar College of Engineering and Computer Sciences, specializing in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, and Smart Manufacturing. This 12-month teaching position offers an opportunity to educate and mentor students while contributing to innovative engineering and technology programs. The role involves teaching in both face-to-face and online formats, curriculum development, student engagement, and supporting the university's mission. The position can be filled as either a tenure-track appointment or at the Professor of Practice rank, depending on candidate qualifications. Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Robotics, Manufacturing Engineering, or a closely related field.
  • Expertise in multiple areas of mechanics, thermofluids, advanced manufacturing, robotics and automation, smart manufacturing systems, and emerging physical AI technologies.
  • Ability to teach across multiple disciplines, including mechanical engineering, industrial and manufacturing engineering, mechatronics and robotics engineering, and mechanical engineering technology.
  • Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Strong commitment to student success and applied learning.

Nice To Haves

  • Terminal degree preferred.
