About The Position

Under the general direction of senior leadership, the Mechanical Engineering Manager oversees the design, development, and execution of mechanical systems and solutions, with a strong emphasis on aggregate processing equipment and industrial applications. This role leads a team of engineers and designers, ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with company standards for quality, safety, and innovation.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required)
  • 5+ years of mechanical engineering experience, with at least 2+ years in a leadership or supervisory role
  • Proficiency in SolidWorks (required)
  • Experience with aggregate conveyor systems and material handling equipment
  • Experience with structural steel and weldment design
  • Experience with hopper and chute design, including material flow considerations
  • Experience with platforms, stairways, and safety systems in compliance with MSHA/OSHA
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills

Nice To Haves

  • Strong experience in aggregate industry equipment design (preferred)
  • AutoCAD experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of mechanical engineers and designers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance environment
  • Oversee the design and development of mechanical systems, including aggregate processing equipment, conveyors, and structural components
  • Review and approve engineering designs, drawings, and specifications to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and manufacturability
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with production, fabrication, and field teams to ensure seamless project execution
  • Drive continuous improvement in design processes, tools, and standards to optimize production and reduce lead times
  • Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation to meet business objectives
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, including MIOSHA, OSHA, and MSHA
  • Support business development efforts by providing technical expertise during project scoping and estimating
  • Maintain strong knowledge of industry trends, technologies, and best practices
