About The Position

The Mechanical Engineering Intern will be introduced to Revit and assist with the design of systems and layouts for commercial spaces. The role includes opportunities to contribute to school, university, healthcare, office, and infrastructure projects, visit construction jobsites, and learn about the construction industry. The intern will work on HVAC systems, piping and plumbing layouts, and fire protection systems.

Requirements

• Pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering or Architectural Engineering.
• Knowledge of Revit and AutoCAD, or willingness to learn them.
• Interest in the layout and design of HVAC, plumbing, or fire protection systems.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical equipment selection and system controls, or willingness to learn.
• Plans to take the EIT.
• Ability to perform basic mechanical engineering calculations.
• Excellent organizational skills and very high attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Leadership ability and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Self-starter willing to learn and grow on a project.

Responsibilities

• Use Revit for system design.
• Participate in the design of HVAC systems, piping and plumbing layouts, and fire protection systems for commercial spaces.
• Visit construction jobsites.
