About The Position

Elessent Clean Technologies is a global leader in process technologies focused on sustainability and carbon neutrality across various industries. We offer expertise in sulfuric acid production, alkylation, wet scrubbing, and hydroprocessing, providing critical equipment, products, technology, and services to minimize environmental impact and optimize productivity. Our vision is to create clean alternatives to traditional industrial processes, making the world a better place. We are seeking bright, talented, technology-minded students for a rewarding 10-week Summer internship in our Clean Technologies Engineering organization in 2027. This internship offers meaningful assignments in process design, allowing students to integrate classroom theory with practical work and demonstrate their skills for future career opportunities. Interns will collaborate with teams, providing support and assistance to business strategy, and gain valuable experience in an engineering environment.

Requirements

  • Pursuit of a Bachelor's or Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related degree from an ABET-accredited program.
  • Completed at least the first semester of their Junior year.
  • Currently enrolled, and in good standing, in a post-secondary education and/or technical certificate program in a field related to the work done in the department.
  • A minimum of a 3.0 GPA is strongly preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Basic knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office programs, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills.
  • Self-motivated and eager learner, with an aptitude to grow and develop within the field.
  • Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without requiring future sponsorship for employment visa status.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior internship and/or related consulting experience preferred.
  • Actively involved in campus, community, or other volunteer activities or organizations.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with tasks that may include filing, scanning, data entry, documentation, and PowerPoint presentations.
  • Assist with responses to general questions.
  • Participate in continuous improvement efforts by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Research solutions to project concerns; analyze and recommend solutions to problems.
  • Assist with ad hoc projects as assigned by managers.
  • All other duties as assigned.
