Mechanical Engineering Intern
About The Position
This is a paid Summer Internship Program (late May to early August). As an intern with our Morgan City engineering group, you’ll assist with the design, analysis, documentation, and testing of mechanical systems and equipment supporting SSR and OPG projects, as well as provide engineering support to manufacturing and operations. Your job responsibilities and projects will be based upon your experience and educational background to provide real life application of your classroom knowledge. You’ll work closely with a mentor to ensure your developmental goals are met and that you meet your performance expectations. This is an exciting opportunity to learn ‘real world’ experience and accelerate your career by working with a leader in the oil and gas, aerospace, and entertainment industries.
Requirements
- 3rd or 4th year undergraduate student at an accredited University, pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Minimum 3.0 GPA
- Experience with Microsoft Office
- Experience with 3D modeling software such as SolidWorks or similar
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now and in the future
Nice To Haves
- Exposure to physical tools as used for home improvement, wood working, automotive related and similar
- Exposure to programming whether as part of coursework or as a hobby
