Mechanical Engineering Intern
About The Position
General Dynamics Mission Systems (GDMS) has an immediate opening for an Engineering Intern to work on projects supporting defense services and national security missions. The selected candidate will collaborate with technical teams on projects related to GDMS’s core mission and apply skills learned in the classroom. The role offers the opportunity to develop skills alongside technically accomplished colleagues in a flexible work environment where contributions are recognized and rewarded. The stated pay range is $27.50–$30.70 per hour; actual pay may vary based on experience and other factors, including geographic location. The posting remains open until the position is filled.
Requirements
- Be enrolled in an accredited degree program in Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or another related scientific or technical discipline.
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of engineering technology.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
- Applicants selected must undergo a U.S. Government security investigation and meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
Nice To Haves
- Sophomore standing or higher is preferred.
- A Department of Defense Secret security clearance is preferred at the time of hire.
