About The Position
Mead & Hunt, Inc., a nationally recognized professional services consulting firm has a position available for limited-term, full-time engineering intern to work on dams and hydropower engineering projects starting in May/June 2027 and ending in August/September 2027. Employment is contingent upon successful completion of applicable pre-employment screening requirements. Requirements
- Completed at least two semesters (4 semesters preferred) of college-level coursework in mechanical engineering or a closely related field.
- A valid driver’s license will be required.
Nice To Haves
- Previous mechanical engineering internship
- Microsoft Office software experience
- AutoCAD or other design software experience
- 3D modeling capabilities is a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Takes initiative
- Can work well both independently and as part of a team
Responsibilities
- Assisting engineers with the delivery of dams and hydropower projects
- Conducting research
- Compiling and analyzing data
- Drafting technical reports
- Communicating with equipment vendors
- Reviewing construction documents
- Visiting construction sites
