About The Position

AECOM is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to be based in the Orange, CA office. This position is expected to begin in Spring/Summer 2026. Requirements

  • Candidates must be pursuing a bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, or related field and must have completed at least two years of study. Candidates who have recently graduated with a bachelor’s degree and plan to continue with a master’s degree are eligible to apply for these positions. Graduates must have been enrolled in their bachelor’s degree in the most previous school term with an interest in pursuing an advanced degree in the same or similar discipline at the conclusion of the internship.

Nice To Haves

  • Assist in the production of all phases of the project design plans process.
  • General knowledge in HVAC or MEP.
  • Some Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit.
  • Knowledgeable in the Microsoft Office Suite of programs.
  • Well organized and possesses an innovative mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Performs a variety of assignments and tasks designed to develop professional work knowledge and abilities while working under close supervision.
  • Assisting with calculations, drafting, and setting up project design plans and documents.
  • Provide HVAC and plumbing equipment research support.
  • Communicating with vendors and coordinating learning sessions.
