As a Mechanical Engineering Intern at Centrus Energy, you’ll support the mechanical systems that drive advanced manufacturing and uranium enrichment technology. This is an opportunity to apply mechanics, materials, and design principles in a real production environment. You’ll assist mechanical engineers with equipment design support, component analysis, and system improvements for plant machinery. Projects may include reviewing mechanical drawings, supporting CAD modeling updates, analyzing vibration or thermal performance, assisting with root cause evaluations, and helping develop maintenance or reliability improvements. You’ll contribute to technical documentation, participate in design and safety reviews, and collaborate with operations teams to improve performance and reliability of plant systems.
