About The Position

This position is meant as a learning opportunity for an individual who is in the process of obtaining a degree in the field of Mechanical Engineering. This person will be able to obtain hands on work experience by providing technical support to engineering as well as by assisting in the building and testing of prototype products. This Co-op will start in January 2027 and finish in late summer 2027. There is some flexibility regarding start and end dates.

Requirements

  • At least 1 year of instruction towards a BS in Engineering.
  • Eager to contribute and learn.
  • Excellent organization, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Driven individual with a track record of being a self-starter.
  • Ability to handle both multiple and changing priorities.
  • Some CAD (preferred AutoCad) training.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in digital tools and technology, including Microsoft applications and mobile platforms, with the ability to adapt and leverage emerging technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to improve efficiency, automation, and collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Write and execute equipment testing documents for new mechanical systems.
  • Create and fabricate test fixtures.
  • Create engineering drawings under the supervision of hardware engineer.
  • Build prototypes, create bills of materials work with production on assembly instructions.
