As a Mechanical Engineer Intern at Collins Aerospace Strategic Defense Solutions, you will participate in the design, development, and test of electronic equipment and integration kits for communication systems on military aircraft and transportable platforms. You will learn to work closely with fellow Mechanical Engineers as well as Systems, Electrical, and Manufacturing Engineering staff to ensure defined requirements are consistently met in all phases of a product’s lifecycle. With technical supervision, apply research to the planning, design, development, and testing of mechanical and/or electromechanical systems. Work with engineers and designers to produce models for components, parts, subassemblies, and assemblies. With technical oversight, execute tests for systems, subsystems, and components. Analyze test results in relation to design or rated specifications and test objectives. Communicate effectively in a cross-functional team.
