The role is for a motivated Mechanical Engineering Intern to assist with the design, analysis, and documentation of mechanical systems for a variety of building projects. This role is ideal for someone with a basic understanding of mechanical engineering principles who is eager to learn and contribute in a collaborative, multidisciplinary environment.

Requirements

• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
• Basic familiarity with Revit or similar design software
• Understanding of HVAC and mechanical system fundamentals
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Good written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work well in a team environment

Nice To Haves

• EIT certification
• Internship or academic project experience in mechanical systems
• Familiarity with industry codes (ASHRAE, IMC, IPC)

Responsibilities

• Assist with the design and basic analysis of mechanical systems using industry-standard tools
• Support the development of HVAC, plumbing, and mechanical systems for commercial and institutional projects
• Help prepare calculations, drawings, and specifications under the guidance of senior engineers
• Use Revit and other BIM tools to assist in developing coordinated designs
• Participate in occasional site visits and help document observations
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and team members to support project goals and code compliance
• Assist in reviewing project documents for accuracy and completeness
• Communicate with team members to help meet project deadlines
• Provide support for proposals, project scopes, and technical tasks as needed
