Internship Overview The Intern will join the CIMR Flavor Division at Takasago, gaining hands-on exposure to the full spectrum of consumer insights and market research. This internship provides a meaningful opportunity to understand how consumer insights shape the flavor industry—translating consumer behavior, preferences, and trends into actionable recommendations that support Takasago’s strategic and commercial goals.

Nice To Haves

  • An undergraduate or a graduate student with a major in Experimental/Behavioral Psychology, Food Science, Sensory Science, Consumer and Market Research, Statistics, Neurosciences, or related area.
  • Passionate about food and interest in food & beverage trends
  • Creative thinker. Ability to tell a story and connect the dots
  • Strong organizational, analytical, data science and statistics skills
  • Strong technical project management skills
  • Proficiency in a wide range of contemporary consumer, product and market research
  • Graphic design skills – Ability to use tool/software to create impactful visual presentation materials
  • Entrepreneurial spirit. Ability to work independently. Goal and action oriented.

Responsibilities

  • Assist CIMR team in conducting product and consumer research, preparing flavor trend materials for client presentation, and identifying flavor and product trend information
  • Review, identify, and incorporate new market and consumer trends in new insights development, category landscape and future trend analysis
  • Assist CIMR team in reviewing research data and identifying meaningful insights that could lead to new product and flavor opportunities for various categories.
