About The Position
Rincon Research is seeking motivated students for our Mechanical Engineering Internship. The role is focused on providing hands on experience in rapid prototyping and fabrication in a small production environment. Interns will assist with engineering tasks, process improvements, prototyping and fabrication.
Requirements
- Currently enrolled in an accredited Mechanical Engineering or related Undergraduate Program.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Proficient with SolidWorks CAD tools.
- Basic proficiency with technical writing, automation and software tools.
- Basic knowledge and proficiency of hand tools and common shop equipment (drill press, band saw, deburring tools, taps and dies).
- Competent interpersonal and communication skills when interacting with others.
- Capable of expressing ideas effectively and professionally to engineering and non-engineering audience.
- US CITIZENSHIP REQUIRED
Nice To Haves
- Hands on experience with rapid prototyping methods such as Additive and Subtractive Manufacturing tools.
- Experience building electronics related projects including wiring harnesses, enclosure fabrication and assembly.
- Familiarity with working around electronic systems requiring ESD protection.
