About The Position

RTX is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Intern to join their Test Solutions (TS) Center in Tewksbury/Andover, MA. The TS Center is responsible for developing test solutions for all Raytheon products, integrating state-of-the-art test solutions with advanced engineering systems. This internship offers an exceptional foundation to work on complex problems, advance skills, and contribute to a safer, more connected world in the aerospace and defense industry. The intern will be responsible for designing, developing, documenting, and maintaining complex test environment systems for all Raytheon products.

Requirements

• Must be an intern enrolled in a Bachelor's (or higher) degree program and will be at minimum, entering their Sophomore year prior to start
• Must be pursuing a bachelor's or graduate degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering or related field.
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

• Experience with Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) per ASME Y14.5
• Experience with Creo modeling and drafting
• Experience with Windchill and configuration management

Responsibilities

• Mechanical design of structures, assemblies, and some mechanisms
• Coordination and management of technical data packages
• Detailed design and drafting work per ASME Y14.5
• Support of development hardware procurement and testing
• Management of suppliers/subcontractors
• Cross-functional coordination to rapidly mature designs
