About The Position

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer/Installation Supervisor to join our Group Technology team! This position requires travel of 60%, both internationally and nationally, and the ability to relocate for extended time periods to project sites. We are unable to provide sponsorship for this position. Travel the world and contribute your solid understanding of practical site installation supervision as you work with a great team of talented engineers! You’ll have the opportunity to work on projects for extended periods of time in the U.S., Canada, Europe and/or Asia. You’ll be instrumental in the planning and implementation of our new factory in Wallula, WA. Requirements

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years working in a similar position, with site installation, mechanical design, machine construction, design specifications experience required
  • 3D modelling using Inventor or a similar program
  • Ability to travel both nationally and internationally 60% of the time
  • Extended periods of presence at project sites are required, ie. temporary relocation
  • Strong communication skills

Responsibilities

  • Own the site installation, testing and commissioning of our production equipment and solutions.
  • Working with mainly design, installation, commissioning, and running-in of major projects, ensure that all equipment within the factory is supplied where required.
  • Take full responsibility for project execution with respect to installation, testing and commissioning.
  • Ensure that the necessary expertise from other departments - environment, safety, MMR’s, are included in solutions.
  • Communicate and supervise suppliers/contractors to place orders and follow up to ensure compliance with requirements.
  • Ensure all documentation / reporting is done and archived following company directives and Group Technology rules, and available tools.
  • Ensure that all site work is done safely and in accordance with best practice site safety.
