What You Will Do You will contribute your knowledge of engineering practices and problem-solving to perform mechanical design and development activities. You will support, contribute, and collaborate in a team environment, receiving inputs from program or team experts, and work on projects, determining and developing approaches and solutions. What You Will Learn The PCAS organization provides ample opportunities for hands-on hardware work. PCAS engineers are exposed to a variety of lab activities including engineering builds, hardware integration, and hardware verification. The PCAS organization provides a strong technical learning environment with a dedicated technology pyramid comprised of engineering fellows. PCAS engineers are provided the opportunity for direct access to these subject matter experts, fostering accelerated technical growth.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related (STEM) field obtained prior to start.
- Experience with CREO
- Experience with 3D modeling tools.
- Experience may be obtained through on‑the‑job experience, research, coursework, or projects.
- Active and transferable U.S. government issued security clearance is required prior to start date.
- U.S. citizenship is required.
Nice To Haves
- Specific majors: Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or related STEM discipline.
- Experience in mechanical or electrical design, engineering, and analysis.
- Experience in manufacturing methods and processes, including machining, casting, forging, welding, and bonding.
- Experience in mechanical drawing practices, dimensioning, and tolerancing.
