To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Mechanical Engineering Student for our Co-op located in our Orangeburg, SC site. Reporting to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager, the student will assist with daily engineering tasks while learning, collaborating and working alongside Engineers and other cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- Junior/Senior student pursuing Mechanical/Industrial Engineering major
- CAD tools (Solidworks) experience
- Enthusiastic about working in a manufacturing environment
- Highly collaborative, creative and excellent communication skills
- Available to work 40 hours/week (in-person) for the semester
- Currently enrolled in 4-year accredited university
- Minimum GPA: 3.0
Nice To Haves
- Lean/Six Sigma helpful
- Previous internship experience a plus!
Responsibilities
- Assist Engineering Team with time studies, reviewing documentation, drawings and CAD
- Monitor Engineering DOE (Design Of Experiment) projects
- Collaborate with Engineering Team with writing reports and reporting findings to team
- Attend team meetings and support project work as needed
