About The Position

RS&H is seeking a Mechanical Engineering Associate to join their buildings team. This role offers a hybrid work schedule, combining in-office and remote work. The associate will be responsible for compiling data, assisting with permit and report preparation, material testing, completing elementary design calculations, preparing quantity takeoffs and estimates, performing basic design tasks using engineering software, preparing drawings and visual aids, and conducting field reviews of construction projects to understand construction practices and design applications.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited program or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 0-4 Years experience
  • Awareness of applicable federal, state and local codes, criteria, regulations, and ordinances
  • Possess basic knowledge of production software
  • Possess solid oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively interact with and build strong relationships with clients, customers, contractors, team members, and other key stakeholders
