About The Position

Kimley-Horn is seeking Mechanical Engineering graduates to join their MEP team in the Virginia Beach, Virginia (VA) office. This is an on-site position. The role involves utilizing technical software for analysis, production, and quality control of client deliverables. The analyst will solve complex problems, support project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to realize client visions for the built environment. Responsibilities include developing familiarity with federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn's and client-specific practices and standards. General mechanical engineering tasks will be performed to support various project managers. The Mechanical teams work on diverse projects including building MEP, HVAC, power distribution, renewable energy, EV charging, security and communications, and industrial controls, for clients in sectors such as Airports, Facilities, and Universities.

Requirements

• ABET accredited Mechanical Engineering Degree (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards
• Perform general mechanical engineering tasks supporting various project managers as required
