About The Position

Design, develop and test all aspects of complex electromechanical assemblies for manufacturing and production, including formed metal parts, extrusions, injection molded components, machined and cast metal parts, structural items, fasteners, gaskets. Generate comprehensive documentation packages for products. Participate in product certification efforts and plan certification activities for both life safety and non-hazardous industry standards. Ensure designs comply to industry standards and required certifications. Conduct Finite Element Analysis (FEA) and Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) simulations. Design for manufacturability and work closely with vendors.

Requirements

  • Master of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
  • 12 months as Mechanical Engineer, Senior Applications Engineer (Mechanical/Manufacturing Engineering Applications), or related.
  • 12 months of work experience with ProEngineer.
  • 12 months of work experience with Creo SolidWorks.
  • 12 months of work experience with advanced MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
  • 12 months of work experience with Tolerance analysis including ASME Y 14.5, GD&T.
  • 12 months of work experience with Part design for various manufacturing processes including injection molding, casting, extrusion, fabrication, machining.
  • 12 months of work experience with Structural and thermal analysis, design for manufacturability (DFM) and reliability.
