We are looking to hire an experienced Mechanical Engineer at our Decatur, AL location.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering or closely related degree
- 2 to 5 years of related experience
- Detailed knowledge of engineering principles, calculation methods, metals related equipment design, equipment selection and function.
- Knowledge of computer systems associated with discipline including 3D Solid Edge and 2D AutoCad.
- Knowledge of Metals related equipment, design and equipment selection and function.
- Ability to lead others and work with all groups within and outside the organization.
- Applicants must pass a pre-employment physical exam and drug screen and have a valid driver’s license.
Nice To Haves
- Experience with data acquisition systems a plus.
Responsibilities
- Supports standard design, development, testing and modifications of solutions.
- Conducts testing of new designs.
- Build prototype bearings for testing. Includes installation and use of multiple sensors and associated data acquisition equipment.
- May support recommending standard new designs, new processes, or design changes to meet requirements.
- Prepare detail 3D engineering models and 2D CAD drawings.
- Creates bills of materials.
