You will be part of something bigger. This is where the best are built. Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Early Career Mechanical Engineer (Heat Transfer & Fluid Flow).
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Material, etc.) or equivalent technical degree.
- Basic knowledge with heat transfer and fluid dynamics calculations.
- Must be a US Citizen.
- This position will require a government security clearance.
- This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
- Must be willing to travel.
Nice To Haves
- Familiar with a computer aided design program.
- Basic knowledge of valves and pumps and applicability of each type.
- Experience in engineering design and object construction through school club, internship, co-op, or other employment.
Responsibilities
- Generate and maintain liquid cooling and dry air flow diagrams and load analyses for combat system equipment.
- Conduct modeling and simulation of equipment cooling systems using the SIMSMART and Icepak software programs.
- Analyze existing equipment cooling system designs and recommend use and location of isolation and transfer devices to ensure seamless operation or fastest recovery in casualty situations.
- Develop cooling system studies and prepare technical reports.
