Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Chemical, Material, etc.) or equivalent technical degree.
  • Basic knowledge with heat transfer and fluid dynamics calculations.
  • Must be a US Citizen.
  • This position will require a government security clearance.
  • This position is located at a facility that requires special access.
  • Must be willing to travel.

Nice To Haves

  • Familiar with a computer aided design program.
  • Basic knowledge of valves and pumps and applicability of each type.
  • Experience in engineering design and object construction through school club, internship, co-op, or other employment.

Responsibilities

  • Generate and maintain liquid cooling and dry air flow diagrams and load analyses for combat system equipment.
  • Conduct modeling and simulation of equipment cooling systems using the SIMSMART and Icepak software programs.
  • Analyze existing equipment cooling system designs and recommend use and location of isolation and transfer devices to ensure seamless operation or fastest recovery in casualty situations.
  • Develop cooling system studies and prepare technical reports.
