About The Position

We’re seeking a passionate and dedicated Mechanical Engineer to join our team. In this role, you’ll be responsible for the development of frame, body, and cabin components for electric forklifts. Requirements

  • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5+ years experience in Product Design/Development, preferably in New Product Development
  • 3D CAD (Creo preferred) and PDM system experience
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and strong analytical ability.
  • Proficient communication and documentation skills.
  • High level of interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with cross-cultural teams.

Nice To Haves

  • Material handling, automotive or heavy equipment design experience.

Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and release components for new forklift models and product options.
  • Engineer a wide variety of parts, including welded steel assemblies, metal castings, plastic and rubber components, multi‑part assemblies, and electrical components.
  • Create detailed 3D models, drawings, and study files using Creo; manage and maintain design data within PDM systems.
  • Ensure high‑quality drawings by clearly defining design intent, materials, dimensions, tolerances, quality control characteristics, and product requirements.
  • Validate component designs using Finite Element Analysis (FEA) tools to ensure structural integrity and performance.
  • Define system parameters and design solutions that meet performance, durability, and reliability requirements.
  • Participate in regular design reviews to maintain engineering standards and promote effective communication across the team.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional partners (manufacturing, quality, purchasing, testing, and supply chain) to ensure designs meet cost, quality, manufacturability, and delivery targets.
  • Partner with the testing organization to define test plans, criteria, and pass/fail requirements for prototype and validation testing.
  • Develop and maintain simultaneous engineering documentation, including DFMEAs, bills of materials (BOMs), and engineering change orders/instructions.
  • Plan, manage, and execute component development schedules to ensure alignment with overall project timelines and milestones.
  • Act as the design lead on a project with minimal direction.
