About The Position

As a Mechanical Engineer at MKS Broomfield, you will partner with manufacturing, supply chain, sales, and customers to develop and support vacuum isolation valves, fittings, specialized mechanical systems, and heater systems products. In this role, you will make a meaningful impact by contributing to the design and development of advanced mechanical products used across multiple industries. Collaborate with a team of product design engineers focused on vacuum isolation valve development, custom mechanical manifold solutions, and heating products. Contribute to the design, 3D modeling, and creation of detailed engineering drawings for new products and assemblies, including machined, welded, and functional components. Partner directly with customers to understand application requirements and develop innovative solutions to complex engineering challenges. Work closely with engineering teams to maintain and improve product documentation, driving enhancements in product efficiency, quality, and revenue performance. Collaborate with manufacturing and operations teams throughout the product development, launch, and scale-up to volume production to ensure designs are manufacturable and reliable. Participate in all phases of the product development lifecycle, including concept development, feasibility validation, design, prototyping, testing, and production release. Ensure all products meet quality standards, performance expectations, and regulatory requirements through thorough testing, validation, and design verification processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science in Engineering.
  • 3 or more years of relevant work experience.
  • Experience with 3D CAD modeling (SolidWorks, Autodesk Inventor) and Engineering Print creation.
  • Knowledge of Engineering Change Order Process
  • Technical experience in product development and manufacturing.
  • Strong communication, influencing, and negotiation skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with advanced applications of GD&T.
  • Experience with Engineering Change Order creation in a PLM tool.
  • Experience working with vacuum systems and/or related technology.

Responsibilities
