About The Position

Arc is building 100% electric boats from the ground up, aiming to create a better boating experience that is quicker, quieter, easier to maintain, and better for the environment. This role involves rethinking every detail of the boat, from propulsion and powertrain to software and ownership, applying first-principles engineering from aerospace and EVs. The company is moving fast to capitalize on the opportunity in electric boats.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field
  • 2+ years of industry experience
  • Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
  • Basic grasp of the fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering

  • Design for manufacturing experience with soft goods and composites fabrication
  • Willingness to provide hands on support with fabrication and assembly
  • Ability to articulate and defend design decisions
  • Clear written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

  • Managing large and complex CAD assemblies
  • Modeling Class A surfaces and boat interiors
  • Owning hardware from start to finish, including specifications, design, prototyping, testing, and high-volume manufacturing
  • Supporting the industrial design of next generation products
  • Interfacing with suppliers and contractors
