About The Position

As a mechanical engineer for FBM Fire Control, you’ll be a member of a cross functional team responsible for Designing, Testing, Implementing, Building, and Installing Fire Control Tactical, Trainer, and Test equipment. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, or a related Science, Engineering, Technology or Mathematics field.
  • 2+ years of job-related experience or a Master's degree and 6 months of job-related experience.
  • Department of Defense Secret security clearance is obtainable within a reasonable amount of time after hire.
  • Applicants selected will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.

Responsibilities

  • Designing, Testing, Implementing, Building, and Installing Fire Control Tactical, Trainer, and Test equipment.
  • Proficiency with modeling CAD tools to create mechanical models and drawings
  • Strong knowledge of manufacturing and fabrication methods, as well as technical, government, and industry standards
  • Creative thinker capable of leading a team in the preparation of project design, testing, and prototype fabrication
  • Team player who thrives in collaborative environments and revels in team success
