About The Position

Arc is building 100% electric boats from the ground up, aiming to create a better boating experience that is quicker, quieter, easier to maintain, and better for the environment. This role is for a Mechanical Engineer who is passionate about the mission and ready to contribute to building the future of electric boats. The company is rethinking every detail of the boat, applying first-principles engineering from aerospace and EVs. This is a full-time, on-site role at their Los Angeles headquarters, reporting to the Manager of Mechanical Hardware Engineering, and working within a lean, high-trust team.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related Engineering field
2+ years of industry experience
Experience with Siemens NX and Teamcenter
Basic grasp of the fundamentals of Mechanical Engineering

Design for manufacturing experience with soft goods and composites fabrication
Willingness to provide hands on support with fabrication and assembly
Ability to articulate and defend design decisions
Clear written and verbal communication
Strong time management skills
Comfortable pushing at a fast but sustainable pace
Enthusiasm for boating and the water

Responsibilities

Managing large and complex CAD assemblies
Modeling Class A surfaces and boat interiors
Owning hardware from start to finish, including specifications, design, prototyping, testing, and high-volume manufacturing
Supporting the industrial design of next generation products
Interfacing with suppliers and contractors
