A Mechanical Engineer with manufacturing experience is responsible for designing, developing, and improving mechanical systems and processes in a manufacturing environment. Their primary focus is on optimizing the production process to ensure efficiency, quality, and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or in a related field
2-5 years of experience working in engineering
Firm grasp of engineering concepts, and experience designing mechanical systems and products
Excellent math skills: ability to apply advanced mathematical principles and statistics to solve problems.
Experience using CAD software such as SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or similar.
Exceptional technical and problem-solving skills and reasoning ability
Ability to communicate effectively and clearly.
Must be self-motivated and a great team worker.

Responsibilities

Designing and implementing mechanical systems, components, and tools for manufacturing processes.
Conducting research and analysis to identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reductions.
Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including production, quality control, and maintenance, to resolve manufacturing issues and ensure smooth operations.
Creating and maintaining technical documentation, including engineering drawings, specifications, and work instructions.
Performing risk assessments and troubleshooting to identify and resolve technical problems during production.
Utilizing computer-aided design (CAD) software to create and modify designs.
Conducting feasibility studies and cost analysis for new product development or process optimization.
Collaborating with suppliers to select and procure appropriate materials, equipment, and components for manufacturing processes.
Implementing and overseeing quality control measures to ensure compliance with specifications and standards.
Participating in the continuous improvement of manufacturing processes through the application of lean principles and other methodologies.
Other duties as assigned.
